You may remember that in February I posted my first ever maternity shoot (you can read all about it here). Well Alfie Jacob arrived just 3 days later and naturally I was excited to meet the little man. The shoot was planned for the first few weeks but Alfie was suffering with partial tongue tie. He was obviously in pain and was having difficulty feeding, so we needed to postpone till he was better.
At five weeks old, I got the go ahead! He was completely adorable and in good spirits, quietly sussing me and the camera out. We were able to capture shots in-between naps and feeding. It’s always best to allow plenty of time for newborn shoots so that things can happen naturally. We took our time with Alfie and stopped when it looked like he had had enough.
I hope you’ll agree that we managed to get some beautiful pictures on the day. Thank you so much Lucy for letting me capture these moments with you – it was amazing as always and Alfie was a dream.
